Silence. Un homme marche. Puis un autre, puis une autre. Des autres. Des hommes et des femmes marchent, se croisent, s’esquivent. Se rencontrent. S’offrent aux grands vents du monde, seuls face au lointain, ou bien se fondent dans le ressac de la foule, s’immergent dans le flux des passants. Peu à peu, les uns et les autres s’assemblent en essaims, se propulsent dans les airs, tourbillonnent, grimpent au ciel, chutent, s’embrassent, s’échappent ailleurs, entraînés par l’allant d’un accordéon. Ils forment maintenant une vaste communauté : « Le Grand C ». Dirigés en scène par Abdel Senhadji, artiste issu du Cnac, dix-sept acrobates manient les techniques de portés et de banquine comme vocabulaire de « l’être ensemble », entre conflit et harmonie, solitude et solidarité. Bousculant le principe du duo et renversant le rapport homme/femme, ils explorent des états de corps, figures complexes, combinatoires de forces en équilibre, mouvements de construction et de déconstruction de pyramides et de colonnes. Délesté de toutes fioritures, techniquement remarquablement maîtrisé, Le Grand C décline une subtile métaphore sur l’individu et le collectif.
