Concert sur la Seine / DakhaBrakha
Leur concert au Tiny Desk de la radio NPR a explosé les deux millions de vues, et c’est d’autant plus improbable de la part d’un groupe qui a construit son répertoire à partir d’un patient travail de collectage de chansons traditionnelles mené dans les campagnes ukrainiennes avant que celles-ci ne disparaissent de la mémoire populaire. Or, visiblement, DakhaBrakha a trouvé une formule magique : des mélodies de fête, des airs sans âge, des chants profonds, des polyphonies mélancoliques, un accordéon déjanté, un violoncelle qui prend des accents électriques, tout un tas de percussions d’Afrique et d’Orient… et la musique s’impose, entêtante, entrainante, jusqu’à la transe. Avec leurs drôles de coiffes juchées sur la tête et leurs tenues traditionnelles, les trois femmes de DakhaBrakha et leur complice homme modernisent leur propre héritage en un « ethnochaos » (dixit) qui, bien souvent, emporte le public dans une transe communicative.
