SAINT QUENTIN EN YVELINES / CONCERT PEDAGOGIQUE
D’abord membre du trio Prysm (signé par le label Blue Note) au tout début de sa carrière, puis ensuite leader des ambitieux projets Ilium et plus récemment Medium Ensemble (son incroyable formation de 12 musiciens), avant de renouer avec le trio en 2012, Pierre de Bethmann compte parmi les musiciens français les plus unanimement respectés. Ses nombreuses récompenses en témoignent – Victoires du Jazz, Prix Django Reinhardt, Grand Prix de l’Académie Charles Cros -, ainsi que ses responsabilités pédagogiques au Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. Au Théâtre de Saint-Quentin en Yvelines où il est en résidence, il remonte aujourd’hui plus de cent ans de l’histoire du jazz dans un programme construit en quatre mini concerts, de 15 à 20 minutes chacun, joués par des groupes différents disséminés dans quatre salles différentes du Théâtre. Un parcours autant qu’un concert pour un voyage dans le temps et l’espace, de la Nouvelle-Orléans à New York, du Dixieland aux créations les plus contemporaines. Il sera entouré pour ce projet de très jeunes musiciens, tous étudiants du Département Jazz et Musiques Improvisées du Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
