Pianiste de génie, aux pouvoirs virtuoses diaboliques qui ont fait de lui en son temps une star mondiale, Franz Liszt était aussi évidemment un grand compositeur, un intellectuel engagé aux connaissances encyclopédiques et un séducteur au charme ravageur. Sa vie des plus romanesques et sa musique ont inspiré au pianiste français Pascal Amoyel un concert-spectacle ayant pour fil rouge l’univers de la magie. Le pianiste classique poursuit ainsi son aventure théâtrale, après son spectacle Le pianiste aux 50 doigts, ou l’incroyable destinée de György Cziffra déjà présenté sur la scène du Théâtre du Balcon. Cette nouvelle proposition nous fait entrer dans la vie du musicien hongrois par la porte de l’enfance du petit Franz, accompagné par des musiques de Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann et… Liszt ! « Pour nous les pianistes, Franz Liszt, c’est l’Idole. C’est lui qui invente le récital, qui le premier joue par cœur… C’est un génie absolu » confie Amoyel qui a, il faut le souligner au passage, signé une remarquable intégrale des Harmonies poétiques et religieuses de Liszt sur le label La Dolce Volta.
