Le Journal d’un disparu fait partie de ces œuvres hybrides – et magnifiques – de l’histoire de la musique. Ecrit pour voix solistes et piano, l’ouvrage de Janacek se situe à mi-chemin entre le cycle de mélodies et l’opéra. Narrant les aventures amoureuses d’un paysan avec une Tzigane, le livret se base sur des poèmes publiés anonymement dans un quotidien tchèque. La musique est d’une intimité bouleversante, à la fois sobre et complexe. Nul doute que le chanteur Christophe Crapez, un ancien membre de la troupe des « Brigands », livrera une mise en scène sincère de cette partition. A ses côtés sur scène, on pourra apprécier les voix d’Eva Gruber, Sacha Hatala, Séverine Etienne-Maquaire et Ainhoa Zuazua. La partie de piano est assurée par Nicholas Krüger.
