Le Livre de la jungle
Théâtre du Gymnase / d’après Rudyard Kipling / mes Loreleï Daize / dès 6 ans
C’est d’abord à l’énergie brute et singulière du monde de la jungle que cette jeune troupe s’attache pour raconter l’histoire du petit d’homme qui grandit. Un monde régi par des rapports de domination, de prédation, et par des confrontations violentes et sans pitié. Le travail gestuel très abouti caractérise chaque animal et rend compte du foisonnement bigarré de la jungle. Des chants et danses rythment aussi le périple initiatique de Mowgli, qui fut adopté par le peuple des loups et doit s’émanciper. La « petite grenouille » entourée de la panthère Bagheera et de l’ours Baloo, de Sœur Grise avec qui il aime jouer, affronte le tigre Sher Khan et prend conscience de sa différence. La loi sociale contre la vengeance solitaire, la démocratie contre le chaos, la conscience contre l’inconscience, la différence reconnue contre l’incompréhension hostile : la pièce très tonique recèle une riche thématique.
