Après le succès de la production de La Flûte enchantée, présentée à Avignon de 2007 à 2009, l’équipe de « Comédiens et compagnie » propose un autre ouvrage mozartien, Les Noces de Figaro. Mais attention : ne vous attendez pas à une interprétation puriste de la partition ! Le metteur en scène Jean Hervé Appéré a d’ailleurs intitulé ce spectacle Le Mariage de Figaro, car il a choisi de se baser en priorité sur la pièce de Beaumarchais à l’origine du livret de Lorenzo Da Ponte. Les airs de Mozart apportent ainsi un contrepoint à l’intrigue théâtrale et sont principalement interprétés par des acteurs chanteurs (et non le contraire !). Ces derniers ne risquent pas de s’ennuyer au cours du spectacle : ils réalisent des pantomimes, participent à des effets de combat, jouent des scènes de masque… Jean Hervé Appéré recrée l’esprit, toujours irrésistible, de la commedia dell’arte. L’adaptation musicale est signée Pierre Gallon, qui a transcrit la partition pour quatuor à vents (hautbois, clarinette, clarinette basse et trombone). Les comédiens jouent également de certains instruments, notamment des flûtes à bec ou des guitares. A coup sûr, une version de tréteaux, modeste mais enlevée, de la folle journée mozartienne.
