Théâtre des Halles / de Thomas Bernhard / mes Frédéric Garbe
Le metteur en scène Frédéric Garbe – aussi comédien avec Pascal Rozand et Gilbert Traïna -, réunit dans ce spectacle deux formes courtes issues de l’œuvre de Thomas Bernhard. La première, L’Imitateur, par le biais de petits récits bien sentis, en forme de prélude à ce qui va suivre, brosse, tout en s’amusant, un portrait tragique de la société et des hommes qui la composent. La seconde, Le mois de Marie, dans la même tonalité, met en scène deux vieilles dames empreintes d’une « sagesse populaire » frelatée par une xénophobie irréductible d’autant plus violente qu’elle est ignorante d’elle-même. Cette ignorance même prête à rire. La mise en scène joue sur ces deux tableaux, drôle et terrible, simultanément. La scénographie figée plante le décor d’un immuable village bavarois. Les acteurs costumés en dames endimanchées sont parés pour soutenir leurs propos caricaturaux, folkloriques, cachant sous leurs coiffes une kyrielle de préjugés dont le tragique leur échappe, sans que celui-ci ne puisse échapper au spectateur…
