L’écriture, pour Lola Lafon, va de pair avec la musique, avec le plateau. Pour donner à entendre les trajectoires féminines singulières qu’elle déploie dans ses romans – ils sont six à ce jour –, l’autrice aime à créer des lectures musicales. Musicienne, également formée à la danse contemporaine, cette artiste qui se définit comme anarcho-féministe décide aujourd’hui de porter sur scène une autre prose que la sienne : celle du Mur invisible de l’écrivaine autrichienne Marlen Hashofer (1920-1970), longtemps tombée dans l’oubli avant de refaire surface et succès. Notamment depuis mars 2020, avec le premier confinement.
Conquête en solitaire
Écrit en pleine guerre froide, le récit de Marlen Hashofer fait étrangement écho au contexte actuel. Sa protagoniste, une quadragénaire à la vie jusque-là bien tranquille, se retrouve soudainement coupée du reste du monde par un mur transparent. Si Lola Lafon a fait appel à Chloé Dabert pour la mettre en scène dans ce rôle de femme solitaire, ce n’est toutefois pas seulement du fait de ce frappant parallèle. Le Mur invisible l’accompagne de longue date dans son chemin d’écriture et de vie. Avec sa libération, sa conquête d’un espace à elle, l’héroïne de l’auteure autrichienne rejoint les petites communistes et autres femmes de l’univers romanesque de Lola Lafon.
