C’est la première des sept opérettes de Sarvil et Scotto, Au Pays du soleil qui a inspiré Le Pays des Galéjeurs par la compagnie des Carboni. Un spectacle qui plonge au cœur de Marseille, sa vie, ses habitants, leurs mœurs. Les Carboni redonnent un coup de neuf au classicisme du genre, et créent encore une fois un théâtre musical original. Cinq comédiens, trois chanteurs et trois musiciens composent cette équipée ensoleillée, les acteurs et chanteurs se relayant dans le jeu et la musique. Voici le début de l’argument qui ne peut que mettre l’eau à la bouche parfumée à l’aïoli : Titin, fils d’Anaïs, la patronne du restaurant « La Rascasse », aime Miette, la fille de Rizoul. Malheureusement cette dernière est promise par son père à M. Bouffetranche, un riche quinquagénaire. Devinez la suite entre meurtre, police et mafia, et Titin qui devra prouver son innocence : suspense !
