Théâtre de l’Atelier 44/ d’après Antoine de Saint-Exupéry/ adaptation et mes Pierre Chabrut
« Mettre en scène cette œuvre, note Pierre Chabrut, c’est, bien humblement, essayer de rendre hommage à son auteur, mais c’est aussi chercher à prouver que, dans notre société en perte de repères, de symboles, tout n’est pas perdu. Tout est à retrouver. Il faut prendre le temps du repos, le temps du désert ». Riche en trouvailles scénographiques, le décor se plie aux intentions de l’adaptation, soucieuse de passer harmonieusement des mystères enveloppant l’œuvre à certaines clés offertes par l’auteur, en se laissant inspirer par toute la poésie et la naïveté nécessaires. L’utilisation de vieilles malles est au cœur du dispositif scénique. Tantôt avion du narrateur, tantôt astéroïde B612, tantôt planètes explorées par le Petit Prince, celles-ci finiront par former le cadre de ce désert où chacun devrait atterrir pour retrouver le sens des petites choses sacrées qui font le propre d’une existence humaine. Les costumes, comme le décor, investissent le champ symbolique. Et la musique, généreusement utilisée, selon la démarche propre à la compagnie qui travaille avec des musiciens de renom, emprunte à divers répertoires.
