Théâtre Le Colombier-Bagnolet / texte Ismail Kadaré / adaptation et mes Simon Pitaqaj / création
« Je ne propose pas un sujet, c’est le sujet qui me cherche ». Simon Pitaqaj, qui a grandi dans un village du Kosovo, fait siennes les paroles de Jorge Luis Borges : c’est de fait la puissance poétique du récit d’Ismail Kadaré qui l’a ramené aux temps anciens, aux ombres enfouies du passé et au pouvoir archaïque des contes. A la nécessité de se saisir de l’histoire, au théâtre. Nous sommes en 1377, et la construction d’un pont franchissant la rivière Ouyane connaît d’étranges péripéties, métaphores sinueuses du passage entre ordre ancien féodal et ordre nouveau mercantile, et du lien entre le monde des morts et celui des vivants. Victimes sacrificielles emmurées, destruction la nuit de ce qui est accompli le jour : les légendes télescopent la grande Histoire, alors que la menace d’une invasion de l’Empire ottoman se précise. C’est le moine Gjon qui témoigne, et noue un dialogue captivant avec un mystérieux personnage, le Glaneur. Deux remarquables comédiens les interprètent : Redjep Mitrovitsa (le Moine) et Arben Bajraktaraj (le Glaneur). Simon Pitaqaj reprend aussi Nous les petits enfants de Tito, autofiction qui retrace une adolescence meurtrie par la fuite d’un pays en guerre, de l’Albanie jusqu’en banlieue parisienne en France.
