Théâtre du temps / d’après Alexandre Dumas / mes Charlotte Forest
Deux des personnages sont enfermés dans des cellules à l’intérieur du château d’If (Edmond Dantès – Gabriel Laborde ; L’Abbé Faria – Thibault Truffert). Les deux autres font partie de l’administration pénitentiaire (L’Inspecteur – Jean Philippe Mas ; Le Geôlier – Guy bourgeois). En 1h30, nous voilà repartis dans l’histoire du Comte de Monte-Cristo, et plus précisément dans le passage du roman d’Alexandre Dumas qui relate la captivité d’Edmond Dantès et sa rencontre avec l’Abbé Faria… « De l’enfermement a surgi l’espoir, de la rencontre la transformation, déclare le comédien Gabriel Laborde, qui signe le texte de l’adaptation. La transmission de Faria à Dantès montre à chacun la lumière qui éclairera son avenir. Le saut qu’il doit accomplir seul lui permettra de trouver et d’exploiter le trésor indiqué. » D’un cachot à l’autre, celui qui prendra un jour le titre de Comte de Monte-Cristo découvre ainsi les faits qui ont mené à son arrestation. Et les moyens de recouvrer sa liberté afin de mettre sur pied les plans de sa vengeance…
