Le festival Artdanthé, connu pour nous faire découvrir de nombreux artistes émergents, tout en programmant également des figures déjà reconnues, poursuit son ancrage international. Avec [Ma gang de Montréal] (prononcez « Ma gagne », un groupe, une équipe réunie par un projet commun), nous plongeons dans le paysage chorégraphique québecois. La programmation a été conçue par Anne-Marie Gougeon, directrice de la compagnie du chorégraphe Daniel Léveillé. Elle nous fait partager ses coups de coeur : dix œuvres, toutes différentes, mais qui partagent une radicalité évidente. Marie Béland rejoue les codes de la représentation avec Behind : une danse dont vous êtes le héros, qui se dérobe à notre vue (le 9 mars à 19H30) ; Daniel Léveillé nous invite à une fascinante exploration de la nudité : les danseurs nous livrent une part de leur vulnérabilité, au-delà de la séduction (La pudeur des icebergs, le 9 mars à 21H). Le voyage se poursuit avec Alain Francoeur, Frédérick Gravel, Catherine Tardif, Dominique Porte Caroline Laurin-Beaucage, Nicolas Cantin…
Au-delà des frontières
Plusieurs des œuvres présentées fondent un art résolument transdisciplinaire. Ainsi Derrière le rideau, il fait peut-être nuit, de la chorégraphe-interprète Anne Thériault et du compositeur-performeur Martin Messier, met le son au premier plan – pour mieux dévoiler le geste, dont il révèle les bruissements (les 20 et 21 mars à 19H30). Quant à Julie-Andrée T., elle explore la force d’un tableau chorégraphique monochrome (Rouge, le 24 mars à 19H30). La galerie du Théâtre de Vanves accueille en outre une exposition de l’artiste québécois Martin Lord, qui invente des corps « faussés », dans des scènes à la fois banales et mystérieuses. A suivre également, à l’Atelier de Paris – Carolyn Carlson, un « cycle Québec » de masterclasses, avec Benoît Lachambre, Daniel Léveillé et Danièle Desnoyers.
