Temps quotidien et universel, le moment du repas s’ordonne chaque jour avec ses codes, son décor et ses conventions. Ce côté théâtral, Nathalie Pernette a voulu l’explorer en dressant la table et la carte des relations humaines qui peuvent se jouer au cours du repas. En valorisant les micro-événements, en scénarisant les non-dits, en développant les sensations, la chorégraphe continue sa recherche autour des états de corps. Dans ce rituel qui suit le fil narratif d’un repas ordinaire, la manipulation des corps et des objets prend une place très importante. Pas question ici de rapport organique à la nourriture, ce sont les actions, les déplacements des corps et des éléments qui font sens. Les sons, glanés dans un restaurant, mettent en valeur ce qui se joue dans l’esprit des convives. Parallèlement, les danseurs participent d’une partition sonore faite de bribes de conversations, de raclements de gorge, de frottements d’objets… Sur scène, le clavecin baroque fait le lien avec cet univers contrasté, révélateur d’un quotidien malmené.
