La Mangeuse Ouranique, la Bouche Hélas, l’Enfant d’Outre-bec, Jean qui dévore corps, le Mangeur d’Ombre, la Personne Creuse, l’Avaleur Jamais Plus, l’Homme mordant ça : tels sont nommés par le grand inventeur de pépites verbales qu’est Novarina les huit personnages de cette cène fantastique et cocasse. « Rage des mots, folie de l’espace, consécration du désir » : telle est la trinité jouissive sous les auspices de laquelle lesCompagnie Mugiscué et Jakart placent ce spectacle conçu comme « un espace de liberté et de délivrance » où la poésie se fait « concrète, corporelle et buccale ». Dire, chanter, délirer, naviguer dans le fleuve d’une écriture formidable, généreuse et joyeuse où les mots engendrent l’inouï et révèlent l’insoupçonné des choses. Attentifs à la langue protéiforme de Novarina, les comédiens, sous la houlette de Thomas Quillardet, s’en emparent avec le souci de faire corps avec elle et par elle, pour une « métaphysique de l’action » qui fait du jeu le creuset du sens et de la scène la matrice du poème. Réplique par réplique, il s’agit donc de faire vivre la langue et de lui donner toute l’épaisseur charnelle sans laquelle le plaisir des mots demeure stérile. En des costumes de fantasme et de désir, dans un univers lumineux et sonore jouant avec le texte, les comédiens composent un univers onirique et quasi surréel, pour rendre toute la beauté et la magie d’un texte aux élans dionysiaques.
