Le Théâtre des Doms est le lieu d’accueil à Avignon de la création artistique belge francophone. Pour la programmation 2011, l’équipe du théâtre a retenu dix pièces, parmi lesquelles un spectacle chorégraphique : un duo de Fernando Martín, d’une durée de 30 minutes, extrait de So, call me I.K. & Friends (2010). Dans ce duo intitulé Le rêve parallèle & pour après (troisième volet de la pièce et conçu de façon autonome), Fernando Martín se livre, avec Barthélémy Manias-Valmont, à une évocation loufoque des années 1980. Ils se saisissent tout particulièrement des références à la Movida, ce mouvement culturel qui, après la mort de Franco, voit un renouveau des arts et de la société, dans une atmosphère d’ouverture et d’exubérance. Rappelons que Fernando Martín est né dans la Mancha en 1963, et qu’il était, dans les années 1980, danseur en Espagne, avant de s’installer à Bruxelles en 1989…
Du kitsch et du rêve
Portée par cette dynamique libertaire et pétulante, la pièce de Martín rejoue les codes de genres, interroge joyeusement les identités, convoque nos souvenirs des films d’Almodovar. Talons aiguilles, perruques et tee-shirts fluo sont les accessoires des deux personnages, aussi touchants que burlesques. On retrouve l’humour qui caractérise la Fuepalbar cie (créée en 1996 par Mónica Martí Aguiar et Fernando Martín, et aujourd’hui dirigée par ce dernier), le plaisir d’une danse qui ne rechigne pas à se faire ludique et à mêler les recherches les plus contemporaines à des motifs populaires ou traditionnels : une danse généreuse et inattendue, qui fait souffler un vent bienvenu sur la création chorégraphique actuelle.
