« Enfantillage chorégraphique pour petits et grands », Le roi des bons remonte à 1989 : la pièce (tirée d’un roman d’Henriette Bichonnier) est alors chorégraphiée par Bernard Glandier pour la compagnie Bagouet. Il s’agit de l’une des plus grandes pièces de danse pour enfants. Elle aurait sans doute sombré dans l’oubli sans le travail de Sylvie Giron, responsable de la recréation, et membre des Carnets Bagouet, l’association qui s’attache à faire vivre les oeuvres du chorégraphe, et qui a développé un profond savoir-faire dans la transmission du patrimoine chorégraphique. C’est donc à une double aventure que nous sommes ici conviés : l’aventure du roi des bons, mais aussi l’aventure d’un remontage, qui nous fait retraverser un moment de l’histoire de la danse.
