Carles Magnes est directeur général du groupe Montjoie Monde, le plus grand producteur de couteaux. Pour fêter la sortie d’un nouveau modèle, Roland, le neveu de Carles Magnes invite son oncle, sa femme et les membres du conseil d’administration de l’entreprise à dîner chez lui, mais Aude, sa fiancée, a préparé un poulet basquaise au lieu d’une grande soupe… Trois épisodes, avec pour unique décor la cuisine d’Aude et Roland, racontent les événements épiques émaillant cette soirée tragique : La Vengeance de Marsile, La Trahison de Ganelon et La Colère de Carles Magnes. Inspiré davantage qu’adapté de la Chanson de Roland, ce spectacle s’organise autour de la trahison de l’individu vis-à-vis du groupe, celle de Ganelon, et de la capacité du groupe à se débarrasser des éléments contestataires et perturbateurs. Le Théâtre Irruptionnel fait surgir dans la modernité la complexité de l’univers médiéval en lui empruntant ses figures et ses mythes.
