Magasin Théâtre / textes de Gaston Couté / mes Magali Berruet
Des moulins des Mauves à ceux de la Butte, du sillon beauceron au ruisseau parisien, Gaston Couté, fils du peuple des champs venu chanter chez le peuple des villes, puise à cette double veine prolétarienne l’inspiration de ses textes. Ecrits dans le patois accablé et fier de sa campagne d’origine, ses poèmes visent l’universel de la condition humaine la plus humble et la plus méprisée. Il évoque ceux à qui les mots manquent si souvent, les conscrits braillards et aveuglés que les instituteurs laïcs, qui ont remplacé le Christ par la République, préparent aux combats et à l’obéissance dès les leçons de morale assénées à la Communale, les électeurs miteux qui votent des deux mains pour le bourgeois qui les exploite, les « mangeux d’terre » qui s’échinent à la tâche sans voir la pureté du ciel et les oiseaux ou les gueux qui s’égarent au comptoir de l’absinthe. Admirateurs passionnés de Couté, les membres de la compagnie Les petits Désordres concentrent leur hommage autour des derniers textes de Couté, alors qu’il était chansonnier pour La Guerre sociale. Indignation, dérision et humour de textes mis en scène de manière sobre et percutante, pour chanter la force de l’engagement du dernier des poètes maudits.
