Le Songe est l’une des pièces de Shakespeare les plus propices à stimuler l’imagination des metteurs en scène, tant elle s’amuse de l’idée même de théâtre et de son artisanale mise en œuvre. Ici la mise en scène, les philtres, les fées, les métamorphoses, les illusions et la ronde échevelée du désir tourneboulent le réel jusqu’à la confusion la plus totale sous la clarté de la lune. Un vrai bonheur pour le spectateur et les comédiens que cette pièce qui a pour sujet principal la fabrication du théâtre… et l’étoffe des rêves ! Ici la vérité, toute relative, se dissimule sans cesse, mais la dimension tragique demeure lointaine, évincée par le plaisir du jeu. Yann-Joël Collin et la compagnie La Nuit surprise par le Jour comptent bien emporter le public dans l’aventure jubilatoire de la représentation, qui a ici une dimension particulièrement ludique et concrète. Pascal Collin, frère du metteur en scène, a traduit la pièce, il souligne « la virtuosité avec laquelle Shakespeare et sa troupe dominent les conventions pour leur faire rendre toutes leurs possibilités, produire la complexité scénique à partir de leur simple exposé, puis les dépasser en les épuisant. » Un très beau programme, entre le ballet des amoureux contrariés, les tribulations des êtres surnaturels, la mise en scène des comédiens amateurs, et la volonté des pères. Au cœur d’une forêt ensorcelante… comme une scène de théâtre.
