PHILHARMONIE ET THEATRE DES CHAMPS-ÉLYSEES
Pour sa rentrée parisienne, le ténor suisse d’origine chilienne s’exprime dans un répertoire qui lui est cher : le baroque, où sa voix et son style s’épanouissent pleinement. Alors qu’il a contribué à faire découvrir des œuvres rares comme Eliogabalo de Cavalli à l’Opéra de Paris en 2016, il revient dans la capitale en ce début de saison avec deux œuvres majeures. À la Philharmonie, il interprète sous la direction de Thibault Noally Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno de Haendel, oratorio allégorique de 1707 dans lequel il incarne Il Tempo, un rôle où il peut mettre en valeur les notes graves de sa tessiture de ténor.
Au TCE pour la deuxième fois comme chef et ténor
Au Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, c’est avec son ensemble I Gemelli, fondé en 2018 avec sa femme, la soprano Mathilde Etienne, qu’il s’affiche dans Le Retour d’Ulysse dans sa patrie. Non seulement il tient le rôle-titre de ce deuxième opéra de Monteverdi mais il le dirige, comme il l’a fait en 2019 avec Orfeo. Entouré d’une équipe rompue à ce répertoire, comme Emőke Baráth ou Philippe Jaroussky, nul doute qu’il obtiendra le même succès.
