THÉÂTRE DE RUNGIS / OPÉRA
L’appât du gain : tel est le thème de cette opérette de 1932 composée par Albert Roussel. Un genre nouveau pour le sexagénaire qui s’adjoint la collaboration de Nino pour le livret délicieusement cruel. L’histoire : lors de la lecture du testament de la tante Caroline, ses nièces découvrent que les 40 millions d’héritage seront transmis à leurs fils aînés. Problème : aucune n’a d’enfant, la première étant entrée dans les ordres, la deuxième étant trop âgée et la troisième stérile ! Si cette satire de la bourgeoisie n’est pas bien reçue lors de sa création française à l’Opéra-Comique en 1937, on ne peut que se réjouir que les Frivolités parisiennes ressuscitent cette partition méconnue. Dirigée par Dylan Corlay, c’est Pascal Neyron qui signe la mise en scène de cette « comédie emprunte de solitude et de drame personnel, dans la lignée d’un Capra, d’un Hawk ou d’un Billy Wilder », qu’il transpose dans les années soixante.
