Dans un centre de rétention, une jeune femme a décidé d’en finir. Elle s’efface, disparaît et abandonne son bébé à un avenir incertain, un avenir sans elle, que des horreurs ont anéantie. Déterminée et directe, elle adresse à son enfant un implacable et poignant monologue, un cri d’amour et de désespoir livrant ses secrets et ses douleurs. Venue d’un pays de l’Est, elle a connu la guerre, la perte de ses proches, le viol, la misère, l’errance et l’exclusion. Avec Françoise Demange dans le rôle de la jeune femme, la Compagnie d’Urgence fait entendre ce texte coup de poing qui nous renvoie « à la déshumanisation croissante de nos pays riches ». Sans aucun misérabilisme, la langue poétique de Jean-Pierre Siméon tout en nuances et ruptures est une mise à nu radicale, donnant figure humaine à une foule d’êtres miséreux.
