La programmation de ce rendez-vous automnal joue la carte de l’éclectisme en conviant des compagnies françaises et internationales, des jeunes pousses et des valeurs sûres, tout comme des travaux en cours des compagnies en résidence à découvrir. Pendant tout le mois d’octobre, pas moins de cinq chapiteaux vont occuper la pelouse de Reuilly, dans un esprit « village » ponctué de moments explosifs – en témoigne la venue du célèbre Francky O’Right, pour une tranche d’humour totalement déjantée. Mais avant lui, c’est un autre clown des temps modernes qui ouvre les festivités, venu bousculer les limites de l’absurdité. Dans son solo Cuerdo, Señor StetS conjugue la manipulation d’objets avec la quête d’une forme de simplicité qui prend parfois des chemins très étonnants. Présentés par le Collectif clowns d’ailleurs et d’ici, les artistes cambodgiens de l’école Phare Ponleu Selpak reviennent une nouvelle fois en France, avec un nouveau spectacle : Royaumes prend le prétexte du karaoké pour nous donner à voir un conte khmer contemporain.

Le festival marque également la première à Paris de la dernière création du collectif AOC, Autochtone, sur des agrès typiquement acrobatiques. Sous chapiteau, la Compagnie 36 du mois a installé pour sa nouvelle création un trois mâts, mis à mal par des flibustiers tous aussi circassiens, danseurs que musiciens. Là encore, la drôlerie se fraye un chemin vers l’imaginaire de contrées lointaines à explorer. C’est la démarche que mènent aussi les Krilati (« ailés », en russe) dans leur spectacle Racines, où cirque et théâtre investissent des territoires poétiques. Mais la palme de l’humour et de la surprise revient sans aucun doute à Francky O’Right, qui construit sa présence sur une vaste et génialissime fumisterie. Le plus américain des comiques de l’hexagone dépoussière sans complexes le genre du one-man-show, remisant à la ringardise la plus totale ses collègues made in TV. Décapant pour ne pas dire dérangeant, son style est aussi délirant que rigoureux, menant tambour battant un spectacle sans queue ni tête centré autour d’un personnage unique en son genre.
