Révélée avec l’académie du Jardin des Voix initiée par William Christie, Lea Desandre ne se limite pas à l’époque baroque et s’attache à élargir son répertoire vers l’âge classique, ainsi qu’en témoignent ses récentes incarnations mozartiennes, à Salzbourg et Paris entre autres. Elle retrouve son mentor autour d’un autre maillon majeur de l’évolution du genre lyrique à la même époque, Gluck, aux côtés d’une de ses plus grandes interprètes du moment, Véronique Gens, laquelle a incarné Armide en novembre dernier à Favart et appartient à la première génération des artistes révélées par Les Arts Florissants. Une semaine plus tard, la filiation s’affiche côté chef, avec Paul Agnew, où l’on retrouve Lea Desandre dans une confrontation entre les deux cantates que Bach et l’un de ses prolifiques contemporains, Graupner, ont écrit sur le même livret, Mein Herze schwimmt in Blut, offrant ainsi un éclairage sur les pratiques compositionnelles dans l’Allemagne luthérienne du début du XVIIIe siècle.
