NOUVELLE PRODUCTION/OPERA DE PARIS
Grosse caisse, cymbales et triangle sont de sortie ! L’Opéra de Paris programme L’Enlèvement au sérail de Mozart, délicieuse turquerie avec pacha et janissaires. Un exotisme de pacotille qui requiert beaucoup d’inventivité de la part du metteur en scène… On avait adoré la mise en scène de Mira Bartov, au Grand Théâtre de Genève, qui avait transformé l’intrigue en un épisode de James Bond. L’Opéra de Paris a fait appel à l’actrice et réalisatrice Zabou Breitman, qui pour la première fois met en scène un opus de théâtre lyrique. La tendance se confirme : le milieu du cinéma, de Benoît Jacquot à Michael Haneke, s’intéresse de plus en plus à la mise en scène d’opéra. Du côté de la distribution vocale, on se réjouit d’entendre la solaire Anna Prohaska dans le rôle techniquement périlleux de Konstanze et le toujours inspiré Bernard Richter, l’un des meilleurs ténors mozartiens du moment, dans celui de Belmonte. Dans la fosse, on aurait rêvé retrouver le baroqueux Thomas Hengelbrock, qui avait livré ici même un Idoménée d’exception, dans le style historiquement informé. Le directeur musical Philippe Jordan est, quant à lui, un mozartien soigné. Une chose est sûre: les soli de vents, particulièrement nombreux dans cet opéra, devraient être défendus avec éclat par les souffleurs d’exception de l’Orchestre de l’Opéra.
