Voici un titre qui éveille d’emblée la curiosité. Il est né de l’imagination d’Hubert Nyssen, écrivain et fondateur des éditions Actes sud. Cet Enterrement de Mozart figure parmi les sept contes musicaux initiés par l’ensemble Musicatreize. Cette série témoigne d’autant de rencontres entre un auteur et un compositeur, chaque confrontation créant un univers bien particulier. Mais le but est bel et bien de faire une œuvre commune. Réunis dans un livre-disque paru chez Actes sud, ces contes sont aussi destinés à la scène. Lors des représentations, le public regarde à la fois le livre et le spectacle. Le metteur en scène et l’éclairagiste viennent donc souligner le travail de l’illustrateur. Cet enchevêtrement d’interactions à plusieurs niveaux fait la particularité de cet étonnant projet. Mais cette complexité formelle est cette fois-ci au service de la lisibilité, Bruno Mantovani et Hubert Nyssen savent bien qu’un conte doit pouvoir vivre dans l’imaginaire de tous.
