Un vrai coup de cœur. Ce spectacle véritablement tout public, idéal pour une sortie « de Noël » loin du gnan-gnan coutumier du genre, est l’œuvre de François Bréant, musicien essentiel, arrangeur, réalisateur et compositeur hors pair, en particulier pour Bernard Lavilliers, Salif Keita, Enzo Enzo ou Kent, et aussi de Daniel Popp -fils d’André Popp- co-auteur et co-compositeur. Dans un esprit très années 70, ce « vieux de la vieille » à la présence scénique formidable, à la fois truculente et élégante, a imaginé un spectacle musical impossible réunissant pas moins de 17 artistes, tour à tour chanteurs, musiciens, comédiens et danseurs. Un hommage décalé et déjanté à Jean de La Fontaine, regorgeant d’idées musicales et de textes mordants. Tour à tour, les Animaux Malades de la Peste – version 2008 – viennent plaider leur cause : chattes productrices de télévision, chiens pollueurs, loups actionnaires, moutons râleurs, crocodiles barbouzes, grenouilles managers, bisons va-t-en-guerre, et bien d’autres… Dans le contexte politico-économique sinistré du moment, ce spectacle foisonnant, inventif et plein de fantaisie prend aussi par instants des accents visionnaires.
