MUSIQUE BAROQUE / ROYAUMONT
Nul doute, Bill Christie va se sentir comme chez lui à Royaumont. Tout d’abord à cause des jardins de l’Abbaye, d’inspiration médiévale – Christie est un passionné de jardinage, comme on peut le voir dans sa demeure de Vendée où il organise chaque été un festival. Et surtout, parce que l’acoustique du grand réfectoire va permettre d’apprécier à la perfection le répertoire des grands motets à l’affiche de son concert avec les Arts florissants, dans le cadre de la journée spéciale organisée par Royaumont à l’occasion des 50 ans de la Fondation, intitulée « Le baroque, et après… ». Au programme : Quam dilecta et In convertendo Dominus de Rameau et Dominus regnavit et In exitu Israel de Mondonville. La distribution vocale est aux petits oignons (Cyril Auvity, Marc Mauillon…). Même si la transition est lancée avec Paul Agnew et Jonathan Cohen, qui prennent une place de plus en plus importante aux Arts flo’, on a du mal à imaginer que ce type de programme puisse à l’avenir ne plus être dirigé par Christie, inégalable dans la rhétorique du baroque français.
