Passage vers les Etoiles / Comédie-Nation / de Euripide / adaptation et mes Coralie Pradet
« Comment restituer, sans tomber dans l’archéologie théâtrale (avec masques, cothurnes et musiques antiques reconstituées), le spectacle total qu’étaient pour leurs contemporains les tragédies et les comédies des dramaturges grecs ? » Coralie Pradet, qui a créé en 2012 la compagnie des Ménades (à point nommé !), souhaite aujourd’hui porter à la scène le mystère, le délire et la charge subversive de la dernière tragédie d’Euripide. Fils de Zeus et Sémélé, mi-homme mi-Dieu, Dionysos revient à Thèbes dans sa ville natale, et devant le refus de la famille de sa mère de le reconnaître comme Dieu, il entraîne les femmes de la cité dans la folie et dans la forêt, où elles se livrent à son culte orgiaque, réfractaire à toute hiérarchie. Le jeune roi Penthée, son cousin, subira son horrible vengeance. De quoi susciter terreur et pitié, stupeur et tremblements ! Coralie Pradet intègre notamment au jeu de la troupe la danse et la musique de la famille Ndiaye, famille de griots rencontrée au Sénégal. Mêler les cultures et les disciplines, orchestrer les dichotomies, les résonances et les dédoublements, tout cela vise à faire entendre aujourd’hui la tragédie.
