Marianne est la jeune épouse du vieux juge Claudio. Coelio en est amoureux, mais fort timide, il charge son ami Octave, à la séduction naturelle, de soutenir sa cause auprès de Marianne, qui commence par repousser ses avances. Blessée par les soupçons de son vieux mari jaloux, elle renoue avec Octave qui semble lui plaire instinctivement, davantage que Coelio … Marion Donon, metteuse en scène et interprète du personnage de Marianne, centre l’action sur les trois jeunes, les ados d’aujourd’hui d’une nouvelle génération tant exigeante que désillusionnée.
Monde cruel
Coelio, Marianne et Octave font l’épreuve de la spirale du désir alors qu’ils se sont juré fidélité, Marianne à son mari et Octave à son ami. Nous ne pouvons pas oublier le barbon jaloux et stupide qui œuvre dans l’ombre. Perfide, le monde cruel épouse mal la violence des sentiments de la jeunesse, la tendance naturelle à la révolte, la quête d’absolu et de plaisir. Octave qui jamais ne s’engage et milite pour une jouissance efficace de la vie, se voit contraint pourtant de convaincre Marianne à l’absolu de l’amour, à ses sentiments les plus élevés. Marianne de son côté, à la fois provocante, agressive et sensuelle, travaille sans le savoir à l’émancipation de sa condition féminine. La liberté concerne tous les êtres, les jeunes et les femmes.
