« Madame Grisélidis Réal, écrivain, peintre, prostituée », avait-elle cloué sur sa porte… Celle qui fièrement se nommait « courtisane » n’eut de cesse de saper tous les conformismes jusqu’à sa mort, en 2005. Suisse, née en 1929 dans une famille bourgeoise aux mœurs sévères, elle avait commencé tard l’artisanat du sexe, à trente ans, pour nourrir ses quatre gamins, après une rupture avec son milieu et avec son mari. Puis elle avait continué, parce que c’était devenu son boulot. Elle se revendiquait comme travailleuse sociale et lutta ferme pour la défense des prostituées, de leurs droits, de leur dignité. Personnalité pétulante autant que militante, elle a confié au secret de l’écriture les embardées de sa vie, ses notes sur les clients, ses colères contre la répression. Son amie et metteur en scène Françoise Courvoisier a puisé dans ces récits romancés, la matière d’une pièce où résonnent sa révolte, son humour, sa rage et son extrême appétit de vivre. Judith Magre, Magali Pinglaut et Françoise Courvoisier elle-même, comédiennes de générations différentes, se relaient en scène pour porter la parole de Grisélidis Réal à travers les âges, de la prison où elle échoue en Allemagne, au trottoir qu’elle raconte avec ses douleurs et ses joies, puis à la lutte contre la maladie.
