Le Vingtième Théâtre / texte et mes Milka Assaf
Les Démineuses aurait dû être un film documentaire. Refusée par toutes les chaînes de télévision françaises, cette histoire « de femmes du Sud du Liban ayant choisi de s’engager dans le déminage du million de mines antipersonnel larguées par les Israéliens en 2006 » est finalement née au théâtre (obtenant, au passage, l’Aide à la création du Centre national du théâtre et le Prix Claude Santelli attribué par l’Association Beaumarchais – SACD). « D’un courage et d’un sang-froid impressionnants, ces femmes extraordinaires, en majorité chiites, m’ont ouvert leur cœur et m’ont parlé sans tabou des motivations qui les avaient poussées à faire un métier aussi périlleux », confie Milka Assaf. Partant de ces confessions, l’auteure et metteure en scène a conçu une pièce entre humour et gravité. Une pièce à six personnages, qui plonge ses racines dans le réel pour mieux nous faire voyager sur les chemins de la fiction.
