La Parenthèse/ de Hédi Tillette de Clermont-Tonnerre/ mes Vincent Debost et Hédi Tillette de Clermont-Tonnerre
Aujourd’hui programmée dans le cadre de La Belle Scène Saint-Denis au théâtre de La Parenthèse, Les Deux Frères et Les Lions voit le jour en réponse à une commande d’écriture de Mona Guichard, directrice du Trident, Scène Nationale de Cherbourg, soucieuse de faire découvrir au grand public le droit normand qui a subsisté dans certaines îles anglo-normandes jusqu’au début du XXIème siècle. La fable dramatique imaginée par Hédi Tillette de Clermont-Tonnerre, qu’il porte sur les planches avec Lisa Pajon, s’inspire d’une histoire vraie. Deux frères jumeaux anglais issus d’un milieu pauvre et devenus milliardaires sont placés devant l’impossibilité de permettre à leurs filles respectives d’hériter en raison du droit archaïque et sexiste en vigueur dans le paradis fiscal où ils ont choisi de s’installer. Le conte, qui permet de traverser plus de cinquante ans d’histoire du capitalisme, ouvre sur des questions sociales et politiques comme sur des réflexions d’ordre philosophique. Le caractère épique du spectacle, alternant théâtre de récit et séquences cinématographiques, est également rythmé par la musique originale de Nicolas Delbart.
