Clown fantasque et désopilant, pianiste burlesque et détonant, acteur bien sûr, Jean-Paul Farré affectionne les “one man show“ ou plutôt les “spectacles en solitaire », comme il aime à les appeler. De Vingt ans de pianos forcés à Retour à la case piano, de Trois pianos et un cactus à La traversée de la musique en solitaire, il s’empare de l’instrument comme personne et propose à nouveau un spectacle autour du piano, bien entendu déglingué et détourné de son usage habituel. Dans cette fresque déjantée qui cumule divers problèmes, d’une clé perdue à des tabourets récalcitrants, il nous embarque dans une saga familiale et bricole une histoire de la musique qui traverse les styles, les zones géographiques et les époques. Il pastiche ainsi un musicologue chevronné qui analyse notamment l’unique sonate pour piano de Frédéric Pincho, compositeur méconnu… Tout un programme, avec la complicité d’un metteur en scène particulièrement expert en théâtre visuel, Jean-Claude Cotillard.
