Même si Brumachon aime les grandes formes ou l’amplitude du geste, la mise en valeur du duo à travers cette programmation peut permettre de s’attacher à l’intime et au détail dissimulés dans son écriture. Qu’il soit extrait de pièces de groupe, ou créé pour lui-même, le duo révèle toujours quelque chose de l’humain que le chorégraphe aime à dévoiler depuis toujours : histoires d’hommes et de femmes, étreintes volées ou assumées, violences et déchirements contraints par le désir, on reconnaîtra dans chacune des propositions l’animalité brute de sa danse – assumée ici depuis 1997. L’alternance d’ambiances et de musiques radicalement différentes, passant du Beethoven, très présent, à la musique électro rythme la soirée, dont le fil rouge reste la grâce et la rage des corps mêlés.
