Le Petit Louvre / d’après Pascal Manoukian / mes Franck Mercadal
Paru en 2015, Les Echoués raconte l’histoire de trois hommes qui ont pour point commun d’avoir quitté leur pays pour changer de destin. Le Moldave Virgile, le Bangladais Chanchal et le Somalien Assan ont en effet choisi de braver les dangers de la clandestinité pour vivre en France. « Ces silhouettes anonymes prennent chair sous nos yeux grâce au narrateur, Julien, auquel le spectateur va s’identifier, déclare Franck Mercadal. Julien est statisticien et vient témoigner de sa rencontre avec des réfugiés, des échoués de la vie qu’il va tenter d’aider. » Au sein d’une représentation dépouillée qui joue de deux bâches en plastique, d’un tabouret et de quelques malles, le comédien-adaptateur-metteur en scène donne corps à un spectacle « où l’humour se mêle au drame ». Un spectacle « réaliste et plein d’humanité » qui résonne comme une invitation à changer notre regard sur la crise des migrants.
