« Le spectacle parle de trois jours de canicule dans un quartier de proche banlieue parisienne. Pour tromper l’ennui, six jeunes décident de se mettre en branle à partir d’une idée. Ils achètent une piscine hors-sol au Carrefour de la rocade et l’installent dans un appartement. Peu à peu, la cité se remplit de piscines. C’est l’histoire heureuse d’un projet réalisé sans violence, une alternative aux récits violents situés dans les quartiers. Ce n’est pas un texte à thèse, c’est l’histoire d’une idée qui éveille ceux qui la réalisent.
Sus aux quinoades et aux poncifs
Le texte est né à l’issue de longues heures passées à écouter parler des amis qui ressemblent aux personnages. J’ai ensuite travaillé avec les comédiens pour gommer « les quinoades », ces expressions attribuées aux quartiers mais qui n’en viennent pas. La langue des Enchantements n’est pas une langue qui existe. Elle est éminemment littéraire. C’est une langue théâtrale, poétique. C’est parfois une langue réaliste dont les punchlines cognent, en cela proche de celle qui l’inspire, en perpétuel mouvement, inventant dix mots par jour. Le texte est drôle : je ne voulais pas sombrer dans le drame ni confronter les personnages à ce à quoi ils peuvent être confrontés dans la vie. »
