L’auteur Florence Camoin associe à sa comédie des Facéties de Versailles les petits écrits plaisants, libertins et humoristiques de La Bruyère, de Boileau, de La Fontaine, de Molière, de Louis XIV, de Mademoiselle Scudéry et de bien d’autres célèbres courtisans du Roi-Soleil. En fait, il s’agit d’une assemblée de beaux parleurs qui savent se moquer en passant de leurs contemporains en usant de tournures lexicales correctes mais tranchantes, enclins aux plaisanteries burlesques pour le bonheur léger de simplement faire rire. En guise d’armes savantes, des imbroglios, des allusions plaisantes, des jeux de mots et des lazzis. Il faudra à chacun de l’audace encore et de la verve pour être admis à la fête privée que le Roi souhaite organiser pour quelques intimes vers minuit dans le parc autour du Bassin d’Apollon. Les amoureux du Grand Siècle ne pourront que se régaler de la prestance majestueuse et de l’apparat royal des costumes d’époque que Dragos Moldoveanu a confectionnés avec le plus grand soin. Un enchantement de cour princière.
