« Les femmes de la pièce sont toutes en état de choc, dit Rébecca Déraspe. Un peu comme moi. Un peu comme nous. La pandémie nous a tous freinés dans une continuité jamais vraiment remise en question. Subitement, la mort avait préséance sur la vie. Ces femmes qui trouvent des cadavres me ramènent à mon propre saisissement. Au nôtre. Mais est-ce que la mort, celle qui surgit parfois sans avertir, peut réveiller le bruissement saisissant de la vie ? » Le texte qu’elle a écrit avec Annick Lefebvre interroge cette possibilité de ramener la vie à la vie, comme le fleuve Saint-Laurent charrie ce qui s’y noie pour le rendre à ses berges. Un soir de tempête, il recrache sept cadavres. Au détour d’une marche, d’un jogging ou d’un baiser, Élodie, Rose, Dora, Charlotte, Martin, Lili, Mathilde, Manon et Anne croisent ces morts qui les font revenir à la vie : « dans cette fresque théâtrale, le ressac des voix fait face à l’intime et au joyau fragile qu’est chaque existence ».
