Molière, Scapin et ses tromperies aux griffes aiguisées et acérées n’échappent pas à l’œil avisé d’Omar Porras. Que les barbons avaricieux et les jeunes gens timides fassent place au maître de cérémonies, valet et prince des bandits, vrai roi de la farce qu’est Scapin. Quand l’un ou bien l’autre tente de sortir de l’embarras, Scapin avec son panache répond présent à l’appel, à condition d’une bourse pleine de pistoles pour service rendu. Il fallait l’énergie et la vivacité des comédiens du Teatro Malandro pour mener à bien une telle entreprise, de la musique et des chants mais aussi un respect instinctif du rythme de la farce, une fraîcheur débridée dans l’improvisation, le goût loufoque de la satire mordante envers un monde moderne en décadence. Il ne suffit pas au fourbe des fourbes d’être malin, il lui faut débrouiller toutes les mailles du filet. Ce classique du genre touche au vif le théâtre coloré d’Omar Porras, explorant notamment l’univers de la farce et de ses codes de jeu issus de la tradition populaire italienne, au comique à la fois précis et brut. Un éloge enchanteur et magistral de la ruse enfantine.
