Marie-Agnès Sevestre, directrice des Francophonies en Limousin, l’avoue sans morgue et sans amertume : construire un festival dans le contexte de crise actuel relève d’une sorte de défi, voire d’inconscience. Une inconscience qui pourrait même finir, se dit-elle, par être perçue comme une provocation. « On ose encore en France inviter des artistes étrangers, fait-elle remarquer, leur consacrer des moyens, faire se rencontrer un projet et un public, explorer toutes les formes de compromis possibles entre la fiction et le réel – un réel de plus en plus complexe… Sans renoncer à la jouissance du verbe : celle-ci, au moins, ne coûte rien. Le festival des Francophonies 2010 sera à cet endroit, au milieu de ce monde incertain, où chaque artiste apporte une parole et, avec elle, une part de ses batailles, de ses doutes, de sa vitalité. » Lieux de métissages et de questionnements, Les Francophonies consacrent, cette année, un espace privilégié aux créateurs du continent africain, en s’attachant à interroger la place des artistes dans l’émergence des nouveaux états.
La jouissance du verbe
Le metteur en scène tunisien Fadhel Jaïbi et la dramaturge Jalila Baccar, les chorégraphes congolais Faustin Linyekula et Didier Ediho, le chorégraphe burkinabé Salia Sanou, l’auteur congolais Dieudonné Niangouna, la chanteuse ivoiro-guinéenne Maaté Keïta, le chanteur congolais Lokua Kanza…, font ainsi partie cette année (parmi de nombreux autres artistes québécois, belges, haïtiens, français…) de l’aventure des Francophonies. Traversée par l’énergie et l’humour de ces créateurs enthousiastes, cette nouvelle édition prend le parti du futur, des « cinquante bonnes raisons d’espérer » que l’auteure kinoise Marie-Louise Bibish Mumbu et son complice Papy Mbwiti explorent à travers leur spectacle : Et si on te disait indépendant ?. Essentiellement théâtral, mais ouvert à la danse et à la musique, ce nouveau rendez-vous en terre limousine restera un « objet artistique composite, dont le noyau dur est le verbe », « une plaque sensible à la lumière du temps qui passe ».
