Scène Watteau / d’après (très lointainement) l’histoire des Atrides / de Jean-Michel Rabeux et Gilles Ostrowsky / mes Jean-Michel Rabeux
Terrifiants et déments, les Atrides sont gens bien peu fréquentables ! Ils répandent entre les membres de leur parentèle ce qui jamais n’y doit couler : le sperme et le sang. Gilles Ostrowsky et Jean-Michel Rabeux ont choisi de mettre en scène cette bienfaisante catharsis en la poussant aux limites du grotesque, avec un humour décapant. Gilles Ostrowsky tient en laisse les fureurs des personnages qu’il incarne et les affects du public. Il joue du rire et de la terreur comme un dompteur avec ses fauves. Tour à tour pythie inspirée, oracle fabuleux des antiques alarmes, héros dévoré par les implacables Erinyes, mais aussi conteur farfelu et goguenard, le comédien use d’une palette chromatique absolument stupéfiante. Il est à la fois la légende et son exégèse, les fureurs et leur distanciation ironique, le corps saisi de la tragédie et l’esprit de son commentaire. La mise en scène de Jean-Michel Rabeux est efficace et précise, et joue, comme toujours dans le travail de cet homme de théâtre ultra intelligent, du rire et de la terreur. L’ensemble compose un vertigineux voyage dans les affres de nos premiers parents, dont nous sommes – coupables pourtant, forcément coupables – les héritiers délivrés par le testament du mythe.
