Maison des Métallos/ de Gotthold Ephraïm Lessing/ mes Olivia Kryger
Le rendez-vous organisé par la Maison des Métallos, le TGP-CDN de Saint-Denis, le Collectif 12 et Arcadi, porté depuis sa création par « la volonté d’explorer le passé pour mieux éclairer le présent », met opportunément à l’affiche la comédie grinçante de Lessing mise en scène par Olivia Kryger. Oeuvre de jeunesse dénonçant les persécutions et phénomènes de bouc émissaire déjà à l’œuvre en Allemagne au XVIIIème siècle, Les Juifs déploie tous les mécanismes de la comédie classique et possède aux yeux de la metteur en scène de rares vertus : « Ecrire une telle pièce à vingt ans, c’est faire preuve d’une conscience politique hors du commun. Œuvre assez courte, concentrée, écrite par Lessing pour sa troupe, elle est pleine de vie et d’humour, de sensualité aussi. Rapide, efficace, elle n’est jamais didactique. J’ai fait en sorte que les acteurs restent tout le temps sur le plateau dans une scénographie dépouillée avec une approche qui privilégie la dynamique du jeu plutôt qu’une éventuelle démarche réaliste ou psychologique ». Fidèle à un choix qui fait sa signature, Olivia Kryger, pour qui « le son agit comme un décor », accorde dans cette mise en scène une importance particulière à la création sonore qu’elle a confiée à Pierre Badaroux.
