C’est Bébel qui ouvre et clôt les Multipistes, festival qui laisse une bonne place à la magie comme composante à part entière des arts du cirque : rendez-vous au bar de l’Hippodrome de Douai pour assister à des numéros de close up au plus près des mystères de ce personnage, qui malgré son nom, n’a ni l’allure ni le panache de l’acteur de cinéma ! Autre figure énigmatique : L’Homme Cornu, qui surfe sur la vague du mentalisme pour faire vivre au spectateur une expérience singulière. Le performeur belge Kurt Demey saura lire dans nos pensées les plus cachées, pour mieux les mettre à mal, les détourner et nous déstabiliser dans nos certitudes. C’est ce que font également tous ces acrobates, qui défient la gravité, jouent sur notre peur de la chute pour mieux déployer leur poésie de l’envol. Le Grand C excelle dans ce domaine, avec un spectacle entièrement basé sur le porté et la notion de collectif qui organise leur fonctionnement. Les corps volent littéralement, réinterprètent le concept de femme-canon, et celui de pyramide humaine. On retient son souffle.
Des compagnies françaises et étrangères venues du nord
Alexandre Fray et Frédérique Arsenault sont les autres spécialistes du main à main de cette programmation. A la fois danseurs, voltigeurs, acrobates, ils avaient marqué avec leur première pièce, Appris par corps. Aujourd’hui, leur nouvelle création Face Nord est un quatuor qui s’inscrit dans la veine du précédent spectacle, mais qui installe d’emblée le spectateur dans une architecture du regard modifiée. Par la suite, pour Vole et tais-toi, il aura tout le loisir de garder les yeux au ciel vers ce trio de trapèze 100% féminin emmené par Titoune, Claire et Caroline. Côté jonglage, c’est Yoann Bourgeois qui emporte balles et objets dans une danse virevoltante, à l’image de son parcours conjugué aussi bien au cirque (CNAC) qu’à la Danse (CNDC d’Angers). Seule déconvenue du festival : l’annulation pour blessures de la création d’Ivan Mosjoukine, De nos jours (note on the circus). Au pied levé, les belges de Babafish, lauréats Jeunes Talents Cirque en 2010, on proposé I, mistress & wife, mêlant cirque, danse et vidéo, pour un premier spectacle à l’univers très singulier.
