Décidément, rien ne va plus pour le commun des mortels : « J’aime pas le lundi, ça me gâche le dimanche ». Tels sont les propos égrenés tout le long de la semaine par Jean-Marie Gourio, sur le plateau joyeux de Jean-Michel Ribes. L’auteur un rien cynique a inventé l’expression répertoriée « brève de comptoir », une histoire courte, une formule comique, en général involontaire, recueillie dans les cafés. Le peu de valeur de la brève n’en dit pas moins sur l’air du temps, le grain d’ambiance populaire des quartiers anciennement travailleurs, à l’heure du chômage. Qu’il s’agisse de bistrot parisien ou banlieusard, de troquet provincial ou de guinguette pour noces et banquets, le comptoir de zinc est le réceptacle sacré des paroles distillées par les piliers de bar. Le débit de boissons accueille une gamme représentative des citoyens : livreur, postière, croque-mort, infirmière, mais aussi professeur de médecine, interne, rmiste, égoutier, écrivain, SDF. Le verre à la main, ils parlent politique. Obama, l’écologie, la maladie d’Alzheimer … sans oublier les plaisanteries scatologiques qui siéent au rire gras. Certains ont le vin gai ou triste, voire mauvais, transférant à la boisson leur état d’âme – rouge, rosé, blanc.
Le shaker d’un cocktail d’ironie cruelle, d’autodérision et de satire vengeresse
Les consommateurs accros évoquent l’insatisfaction de leur vie : « Je m’en fous de sauver la planète, j’ai pas de jardin … Je m’en fous de repartir à zéro, j’en viens… » Le déferlement gouailleur de railleries cocasses fonctionne comme le shaker d’un cocktail d’ironie cruelle, d’autodérision et de satire vengeresse. L’humour beauf souvent noir concerne notre condition humaine, une souffrance quotidienne partagée jusqu’à l’heure de la mort, au-delà même de la distinction du bonheur et du malheur. Dans la mythologie du vin, la fréquentation du petit canon relève de l’envie de consolation qui taraude l’être rendu vulnérable par une situation économique, politique ou existentielle peu supportable. « Moi je préfère pas savoir la date de ma mort, celle de ma naissance me fout suffisamment le cafard.» Le petit verre joue un rôle initiatique, convivial et intégrateur et touche toutes les conditions sociales, le type banalisé de l’employé ivrogne ou l’alcoolique mondain. Ces bons mots rigolards procèdent d’un état second – ce plaisir exalté de l’ivresse dans l’abandon à des rêves d’illusions, de fantasmes et de bien-être. La partition de Ribes est un déménagement scénique réparateur de maux, un ballet de comédiens toniques qui font danser la boutique.
