VERSAILLES / OPÉRA EN CONCERT
Mal reçue à sa création en 1760 – quand Platée, quinze ans auparavant, fut un triomphe – la comédie de Rameau est aujourd’hui revenue en grâce. Valentin Tournet s’est appuyé sur un travail musicologique approfondi pour faire revivre au disque (label Château de Versailles Spectacles) ce drôlatique Moyen Âge de fantaisie. Le chant comme les commentaires orchestraux y sont d’une vivacité à laquelle s’attachent La Chapelle harmonique et la belle distribution réunie. Pour cette version de concert on retrouve de nouveau Mathias Vidal en vaillant paladin, déterminé à libérer la jeune Argie (ce sera ici Judith van Wanroij) des désirs du barbon Anselme (Frédéric Caton). Anne-Catherine Gillet reprend aussi le rôle piquant de la confidente Nérine et le jeune Léo Vermot-Desroches s’empare de celui de la fée Manto, sur lequel repose une bonne part de la comédie.
