Être élue « Boudin d’or » sur Facebook, ce n’est pas très réjouissant. Mais être rétrogradée l’année suivante « Boudin de Bronze », ce n’est guère mieux. Comment Mireille Laplanche, lycéenne de 16 ans, va-t-elle réagir à la méchanceté de ses camarades et à l’exclusion ? Ainsi débute le roman facétieux de Clémentine Beauvais qui imagine un road trip à vélo, de Bourg-en-Bresse jusqu’à Paris, direction la garden party du 14 Juillet à l’Élysée. En découvrant ce texte, lu en quelques heures, la metteuse en scène Justine Heynemann, qui ne cesse d’explorer dans ses spectacles la question des femmes et leur représentation, s’est trouvée « totalement happée par l’originalité et l’insolence de l’écriture. L’impertinence du langage, la drôlerie des situations et l’intelligence du propos [l’]’ont saisie. Il [lui] est apparu urgent de porter un tel texte sur une scène de théâtre. » Ainsi est né ce spectacle scandé par des chansons, des improvisations et de la vidéo dans une scénographie graphique où des questions graves sont traitées avec intelligence, humour et rythme.
