Deux jours consacrés à la découverte de pièces peu diffusées, deux jours pour faire la connaissance de certaines « jeunes pousses » de la danse contemporaine : c’est le principe des Plateaux de la Biennale, manifestation préparée en direction des professionnels avec un temps fort en soirée pour tout le public. Cette année, la journée du samedi s’ouvre à tout le monde, et le public est invité à se mélanger aux professionnels dans les espaces de la Maison des Arts de Créteil investis par les chorégraphes. Autre nouveauté, qui est aussi une distorsion de l’objectif premier de donner un coup de pouce aux pièces en mal de diffusion : beaucoup de créations, car si les compagnies ne parviennent pas à tourner, c’est aussi qu’elles éprouvent beaucoup de difficultés à montrer leurs Premières… Ainsi le tout premier solo de Maxence Rey, Les Bois de l’ombre, s’annonce comme une plongée en eaux troubles et un lieu d’expérience de son propre rapport au monde. Pascal Allio joue quant à lui la carte du chantier en cours, avec un projet qui le replonge dans ses années d’interprète, quand il traversait l’écriture de Christine Bastin, Jean Gaudin, ou Daniel Larrieu…
Des créations, mais aussi des œuvres en train de naître.
De même pour Hélène Cathala et son nouveau projet, Talking Blues, et Julia Cima et sa prochaine Danse Hors-Cadre. Les Plateaux nous réservent la surprise de deux chorégraphes venues de l’étranger et peu connues en France : Colette Sadler est écossaise, et présente un extrait de sa création 2009 The Making of Doubt, imaginée pour quatre danseurs, des marionnettes et des prothèses. Entre fiction et réalité, la manipulation n’est pas seulement celle des corps, mais s’appuie aussi sur le regard. Quant à Nancy Naous, elle partage son temps entre la France et le Liban, où elle est née. Instant de chutes convoque la danse, le son et l’image dans un enchevêtrement proche de la performance. Ici, le corps est un réceptacle qui engloutit les tensions, pour mieux les restituer dans l’explosion et la chute. Un corps en crise qui entre en résonance avec la guerre au Liban, sans pour autant la raconter.
